Name: EAD GroundWater Wells Abandoned - Dangerous
Display Field: WIN
Type: Feature Layer
Geometry Type: esriGeometryPoint
Description: In the Abu Dhabi Emirate around 10,662 wells are abandoned, which makes 9% of the total amount of wells. Nevertheless, around 57% of these wells are not dangerous. An abandoned dangerous well is defined as followed: - Dug wells: All wells which are disused or backfilled (partially). It is to mention, that disused dug wells which still have riser pipes or pumps installed are safer than the ones without. - Pits: All pits which are disused or backfilled (partially). - Hybrids and others: All wells which are disused or backfilled (partially). -Boreholes: All wells which are disused, because of collapsing. Around 43% of the abandoned wells are according to this definition dangerous and have to be completely backfilled in order to prevent accidents and groundwater contamination. Field Descriptions:- OBJECTID: A unique, not null integer field used to uniquely identify rows in tables in a geodatabase- Shape: Field which shows the stored geometry type created through ArcGIS (Point, Line, Polygon, Multipoint or Multipatch)- No: Consecutive number of database- WIN: The "Well Identification Number" is a unique ID for a certain well for which a plate has been fixed- Northing/Easting: Coordinates in metre UTM Zone 40N- SrvDate: Survey date- WellUse: Well use- WellStat: Well status- BckFllRsn: Reason for backfilling- WllTyp: Well type- RsrPp: Riserpipe installed- RuleID: Needed for labeling purposes in represantations- Override: A BLOB field that stores feature-specific override to the representation rulesProcessing Steps: n/aResolution: n/aData Quality: data was QC checked for consistency
